We offer a variety of services to help complete your basement finishing project. The first option is to have us come in and do all of the drywall installation. After that is complete, the taping and mudding process will begin. This stage can take 3-5 days depending on how well the coats of joint compound dry and setup. If it’s during a season of high humidity, it may take a few days longer.
The final step is to apply the finishing texture. Typically we do a knockdown texture on the ceilings and an orange peel texture on the walls. Smooth texture is also an option. It is a little more costly since there is more time involved in making the final coat smooth.
The second option we offer involves the homeowner installing the drywall themselves. This is a great option for owners that are doing the project on a tight budget and want to save some money. They purchase and install all the drywall and then we come in and do the mudding and taping. After that is complete we will apply a knockdown texture to the ceilings and an orange peel texture on the walls. Smooth texture is also an option, but at an additional cost.
